The origin
How does someone come up with the idea of making a marmot ointment?
The father-in-law of puralpina founder Andreas Schmid suffered from severe joint problems. Working was impossible for him.
A bottle of warm marmot oil was always kept ready on the fireplace. "It's the only thing that helps me now," he said. This statement triggered something in Andreas. He began to research the effects of marmot oil. This enthusiasm led to the creation of the warming marmot herbal ointment in 1992.
With his stubbornness, Andreas laid the foundation for our values. He absolutely refused to use artificial ingredients or additives. 100% pure natural products. That was his ideal. Against all resistance from experts and against the spirit of the times.
Our core values are still the same today, but the zeitgeist has changed.
