Engagement

Social commitment

We firmly believe that every producer bears responsibility—for their products, their employees, and the environment. These are values we expect our partners to share and uphold as well.

Rooted

As a family business from Frutigen in the Bernese Oberland, we are deeply rooted in the history of the region. We believe that every manufacturer bears responsibility for their products, their employees, and the environment. Our trusted Murmeli herbal balms, oils, and Alpine natural cosmetics are made in our in-house workshop, following traditional recipes and powered by solar energy from our own photovoltaic system. This allows us to maintain full control over the origin and use of the carefully selected ingredients.

For the production of our fine wooden products, the filling and labeling of our natural room fragrances, and the harvesting of alpine ingredients for our herbal teas, we rely on external partners. The social commitment of our partners to both people and the environment is something we deeply value.

Company B

The Bernese company B is a center of expertise for blind, visually impaired, and multiply disabled adults. It offers a wide range of opportunities for individuals affected by these challenges. Company B crafts some of our wooden products with great patience, careful craftsmanship, and immense pride.

SILEA Foundation

At the SILEA Foundation in Thun, adults with mental, psychological or multiple disabilities also work with great dedication on our wood products. The foundation supports and accompanies the people concerned in the areas of living, leisure and work.

Mittengraben Center

Our third partner for the production of our planes and cutting boards is the Mittengraben Center (zemi) in Interlaken. Since 1960, the center has been employing and caring for people with cognitive or other disabilities. Today, around 50 people work in the workshop.

TRANSfair Foundation

The Thun-based social enterprise TRANSfair Foundation offers people who are particularly challenged, primarily for psychological reasons, a meaningful and protected workplace. Our room fragrances are bottled and labelled by hand by the TRANSfair Foundation.

Bad Heustrich

At the Bad Heustrich Foundation in the Bernese Oberland, young people and adults with learning difficulties or mental disabilities have the opportunity to train, work and live in a protected environment. The flowers and leaves for our Swiss herbal tea are harvested by hand in the wild and in the Bad Heustrich Foundation's herb garden. The edelweiss plants for our Alpine body care also come from there.
